Meggie’s practice includes advising clients on bankruptcy law, title curative matters, and commercial lending transactions. Prior to joining Glasser and Glasser, Meggie clerked for Hon. Rebecca B. Connelly of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia and Hon. Elizabeth S. Stong of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York. While in law school, Meggie externed for Hon. Paul M. Baisier of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia. In addition to clerking in multiple U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, Meggie previously practiced as an associate attorney with a regional law firm and has served as the general legal counsel and in senior executive roles with multiple international financial institutions and multinational companies. Meggie brings a wealth of blended legal and business experiences that contribute to her goal-oriented focus and commitment to adding value to her clients in a collaborative manner. He is a charter member of the North Carolina Creditors Bar Association and has worked with members of the U.S. Congress and North Carolina Legislature to draft legislation relative to creditors’ rights issues, and to further monitor such legislation as it progresses towards passage.
As a litigation attorney and manager with Glasser and Glasser, P.L.C., Gus is responsible for managing all facets of the firm’s North Carolina operations, including management of all commercial and consumer collections and business transactions. Gus is further responsible for advising national banking associations, state credit unions and other lenders on creditors’ rights issues and business transactions, including matters pertaining to compliance with state and federal law.
Gus has spoken to numerous conferences and groups throughout the country on a variety of topics including the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and North Carolina state law.

Jeri represents clients in courts throughout the State of Maryland. Throughout her years representing creditors, Jeri has cultivated contacts with attorneys, judges, clients and others within the collections industry. She also represents creditors as the Vice President of the Maryland-D.C. Creditors Bar Association, which tracks Maryland rules, regulations and statutes affecting creditors’ rights and builds relationships with judges and other elected officials.

Marc graduated from the University of Virginia in 1989 with a B.A. in economics. After graduating from college, Marc returned to his birthplace, New Orleans, Louisiana, where he worked in commercial banking operations and taught high school before enrolling in law school. He attended the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University as a Law Fellow. Marc began his legal practice in Lafayette, Louisiana, where he litigated maritime personal injury and municipal liability cases.
Marc joined Glasser and Glasser, P.L.C. in 1997, and has represented retired shipyard workers, railroad workers, and service members with asbestos disease. He has brought successful suits for young children with life-altering injuries from defective products and living conditions. He has litigated a variety of personal injury lawsuits, from auto accidents to defective drug cases.
In 2011, Marc filed in the Supreme Court of the United States a Brief for Amicus Curiae National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees in Support of Petitioners, on behalf of thousands of retired railroad workers injured by exposure to asbestos-containing products on locomotives.

Collections Department, which practices statewide in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland and Washington, D.C. He has over 25 years of experience primarily focused on debt collection, financial services regulation, and consumer protection issues. He is engaged for the Firm and in numerous trade organizations at the federal and state levels, particularly on issues related to legal collections, compliance management, and governmental relations.
Mark is a Past President of the National Creditors Bar Association. Mark has also served as a member of the Virginia Supreme Court’s Advisory Committee for Electronic Filing and as a panelist at the Federal Trade Commission’s roundtable on Legal Debt Collection in Washington, D.C. He is a frequent presenter on a variety of topics related to fair and professional debt collection.

Iyanna grew up in Albany, New York, and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Studies and Journalism, cum laude, from Cazenovia College. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from SUNY at Albany and her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law.
Following graduate school, Iyanna worked for the College Counsel at Siena College and helped develop numerous college policies relating to intellectual property, conflicts of interest, wage/hour compliance, bullying, and student discipline, among others. While in law school, Iyanna served as the founder/CEO of the I AM (Identity, Achievement, Matriculation Program), a program of the North Carolina Chapter of the Albert Schweitzer Foundation designed to promote the self-esteem and self-confidence of young minority boys in higher education and specifically law school.
Prior to joining Glasser and Glasser, Iyanna worked as a Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney with the Portsmouth Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and focused on Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Iyanna actively participates in several community organizations, including but not limited to, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Luter YMCA Board, Isle of Wight County Board of Elections. Iyanna enjoys spending quality time with her active-duty Navy husband, energetic toddler son, supportive mom, as well as her dogs, cats, and chickens.

In 1987, Bill became an Associate Attorney Glasser and Glasser, P.L.C. and was immediately placed on the Asbestos Litigation trial team. Bill has tried cases in both Federal and State Courts representing shipyard workers and a variety of other tradesmen (and their families) who had been injured and/or killed from their exposure to asbestos-containing products. Bill represents numerous collisions and trucking cases. Bill has tried and settled a number of cases over his thirty years of practice resulting in multiple recoveries of multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. He often serves as Local Counsel in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Norfolk Division.
Bill became an equity partner of Glasser and Glasser, P.L.C. in 1992. Bill has also been included in the Best Lawyers of America since 2018 in the category of personal injury litigation – plaintiffs. Bill is “AV rated” by Martindale Hubbell and has enjoyed this rating for over twenty years. Bill continues to be a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and has served as a volunteer in the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary System, chairing the Second District Disciplinary Committee as well as the Disciplinary Board.

Alex went on to attend Regent University School of Law where he was actively involved with its prestigious Moot Court Board, and he served as the Business Affairs and Interscholastic Competition Coordinator. Alex competed in the Southeastern National Moot Court Competition in which he and his partner won the award for best appellate brief. During law school, Alex interned for Hon. Robert J. Humphreys on the Court of Appeals of Virginia where he studied and learned from an appellate judge with over twenty years of experience on the bench.

As a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads, Hunter has made a career protecting the rights and interests of creditors in our local community. Since his admission to the Virginia Bar in 2012, Hunter has passionately advocated for a wide range of creditors, from individuals, landlords, and small business owners to large credit lenders and nationwide financial institutions.

Majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology, Lexus graduated magna cum laude from East Carolina University. Lexus’ desire to pursue social justice led her to Campbell Law School, where she had the opportunity to participate in a study abroad aimed at promoting human rights advocacy and development. After graduating law school, Lexus continued her advocacy work as an attorney at Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC). At LANC, Lexus advocated and enforced her clients’ habitability rights and rights against unfair debt collections. Taking her litigation skills to another level, Lexus worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the North Carolina Department of Justice (NC DOJ). As an Assistant Attorney General, Lexus represented a plethora of North Carolina state agencies against tort claims, specifically negligence actions. Now, as a Glasser attorney, Lexus is excited to continue to pursue her passion for trial advocacy and advocate for the rights of creditors.
