Iyanna is an associate in Glasser and Glasser, P.L.C.’s Creditors’ Rights practice. Iyanna grew up in Albany, New York, and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Studies and Journalism, cum laude, from Cazenovia College. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from SUNY at Albany and her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law.
Following graduate school, Iyanna worked for the College Counsel at Siena College and helped develop numerous college policies relating to intellectual property, conflicts of interest, wage/hour compliance, bullying, and student discipline, among others. While in law school, Iyanna served as the founder/CEO of the I AM (Identity, Achievement, Matriculation Program), a program of the North Carolina Chapter of the Albert Schweitzer Foundation designed to promote the self-esteem and self-confidence of young minority boys in higher education and specifically law school.
Prior to joining Glasser and Glasser, Iyanna worked as a Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney with the Portsmouth Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and focused on Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Iyanna actively participates in several community organizations, including but not limited to, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Luter YMCA Board, Isle of Wight County Board of Elections. Iyanna enjoys spending quality time with her active-duty Navy husband, energetic toddler son, supportive mom, as well as her dogs, cats, and chickens.
